شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَىٰ وَالْفُرْقَانِ
al-Baqarah: 185
Maksudnya: “)Masa yang diwajibkan kamu berpuasa itu ialah) bulan Ramadan yang padanya diturunkan al-Quran, menjadi petunjuk bagi sekalian manusia, dan menjadi keterangan-keterangan yang menjelaskan petunjuk dan (menjelaskan) perbezaan antara yang benar dengan yang salah.”
بَعَثَ إِلَيَّ مُجَاهِدٌ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا دَعَوْنَاكَ أَنَّا أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نَخْتِمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَإِنَّهُ بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ الدُّعَاءَ يُسْتَجَابُ عِنْدَ خَتْمِ الْقُرْآنِ ، قَالَ: فَدَعَوْا بِدَعَوَاتٍ
Maksudnya: “Telah diutuskan Mujahid kepadaku.” Telah berkata: “Kami memanggilmu kerana kami ingin mengkhatamkan al Quran dan bahawa sesungguhnya doa adalah mustajab pada saat khatam al-Quran.” [Riwayat al-Darimi (3525)]
